Kirin Restaurant: Exceptional Cantonese Dim Sum and Seafood in Waikiki

We had a great time at Kirin. Everything we ordered was fantastic, the service was courteous, fast, and attentive, and it was in a fun/mysterious seeming location downstairs. We ordered the: - Shrimp & Chive Dumplings - Steamed Spare Ribs - Duck (spectacular) - Beef Look Fun (yes that's the name, haha) - Siu Mai - Pan Fried Potstickers (admittedly my favorite aside from the duck) - Possibly something else, can't remember (soup dumplings?)

One of the best dimsum i‘ve ever tasted. Didn‘t expected but amazed. Also fulfilled shrimp dumpling !!!

Everything we got was delicious! Service was great, food was great quality, and location is awesome. Right outside the Hyatt regency and it’s downstairs. We even came back a second time to get the honey walnut shrimp that’s to die for. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese new year. Plenty of room for a table of 9. Reservation definitely recommended for a larger group. The food was amazing. The crab was fresh and done in their special sauce, delicious. The fish was light and flaky . Veggies could be cooked a bit more (crunchy) but still good. Walnut shrimp was light and flavorful. Nothing was bad. Plus an added bonus of lion dance and blessing for the holiday.

I recently dined at Kirin Restaurant in Waikiki, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The Peking Duck was perfectly roasted with crispy skin and tender meat, while the dim sum offerings were fresh and authentic, rivaling some of the best I’ve had. The seafood dishes, particularly the honey walnut shrimp, were outstanding – cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The portions were generous, making it excellent value for the quality. It’s clear the chefs take pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques. Overall, Kirin is a must-visit if you’re in Waikiki and craving exceptional Chinese cuisine. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a celebratory feast, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in the area. Highly recommended!

We celebrated a birthday coming here. Make sure to make reservations because it gets busy. We tried their Taishan Live Crab ans it was totally worth it. After our dinner they even gave us complimenary dessert for our celebrant.

Good location, luxury area in the center of Waikiki Beach, a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant, chicken dumplings have a fishy smell, chicken claws are good, mustard greens are good, skewered sausage is good Environment: Good Price-to-value ratio: poor Taste: Yes 的

We stayed at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani in Waikiki, so Kirin restaurant is very close by. They have great food! We loved it, and the staff were wonderful! Qin was our sever and she was very sweet. We had Jellyfish, fried scallop, crab, and duck, and not one thing was left on our plates. I’m not a cook or Chinese so I’m not a pro on what authentic is, but this was great food. We will be back for sure on our next visit.
